Dodmoor House wedding photography

Aaron and Beckie’s wedding at Dodmoor House was a big one and had a brilliant atmosphere from start to finish. They’re both super chilled and clearly love a good laugh, which always makes for a great wedding day. Their friends and family were exactly the same so the whole day had a really relaxed, fun feel to it. There was loads going on throughout the day and plenty of laughs from the moment guests arrived.

I’ve photographed quite a few weddings here over the years and Dodmoor House wedding photography is always great fun because the venue has loads of character and plenty of nice spots for relaxed photos throughout the day.

Drinks, games and a lot of chaos

After the ceremony everyone headed outside for drinks and that’s when things started getting interesting. Rather than just standing around chatting, a few games started appearing and before long there was a full on beer team pong situation going on.

It basically involved people necking shots, running around the table and trying to keep up before the next person took their turn. As you can probably imagine it got messy pretty quickly, but it was great fun and definitely got everyone in the party mood.

It also made for some brilliant candid moments with people laughing, cheering and occasionally wondering why they’d agreed to take part.

A brilliant atmosphere all day

What really stood out about Aaron and Beckie’s wedding was just how relaxed the whole day felt.

Nobody was taking things too seriously, everyone was just enjoying being together and having a great time. That always makes for the best kind of wedding photography because the real moments just happen naturally.

Dodmoor House is perfect for that kind of wedding as well because everything is close together, so guests can move between the barns, the courtyard and the outdoor areas easily.

It means there’s always something going on somewhere.

Evening party

By the time the evening rolled around the atmosphere was already spot on and the party carried straight on from there.

The dance floor got busy pretty quickly and it turned into a proper good night with everyone fully getting involved....Exactly how a wedding party should be.
