Ragley Hall in Alcester, Birmingham
It's been a while since I've had the honour of documenting a Sikh wedding, so thought it would be nice to share some of Manpreet & Kishan's images from their special day.
Manpreet & Kishan had their religious ceremony at a newly constructed Gurdwara Sahib temple in Leicester. It was an early start at the Gurdwara Sahib...or early ish for a wedding at 9.30am where I meet Kishan first for his entrance. Manpreet made her entrance shortly afterwards where she saw Kishan for the first time as she entered the temple. I didn't have a 2nd photographer with me on this wedding but the ceremony room was pretty large so I had the freedom to navigate around the room getting lots of different shots from different angles which just wouldn't be possible in a church or registry office.
After the ceremony, the festivities continued at Ragley Hall in Alcester, Birmingham. It was a bit of a treck from the ceremony in Leicester to Birmingham, but it was definitely worth it!! Set against the backdrop of 6,500 acres of stunning landscape and remarkable architecture, Ragley Hall added a touch of grandeur to the celebrations.
